FREE Boating Class


All operators of motorboats with 25 horsepower or greater motors born after January 1, 1982 must complete a boating safety course and have a boating safety certificate, as well as all operators of personal watercraft.


Class will be taught and administered by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission.


The Pittsburgh Boat Show is offering two FREE Boating Safety education classes. Each class is eight hours long. The Boating Safety education classes will be on Saturday, January 17th and a second class will be on Saturday, January 24th. Class will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and run until 5:00 p.m.


The class and exam will take place at the Monroeville Convention Center 101 Mall Blvd., Monroeville, PA, 15146.


Each student who completes the class will receive a ticket good for free admission to the Boat Show.


To take the class, show up approximately fifteen minutes prior to the start
of class (8:45 a.m.) at the Monroeville Convention Center. Go to the front
entrance and you will be directed to the classroom.


Bring a photo ID or proof of identification.
